Mathematics Enlightenment
——Big Apple
Education experts often tell us how to stimulate children's thinking, such as sports, music, reciting poetry, learning a foreign language, etc. ActuallyWe can change our thinking and ask the child what inspired his thinking。
Conversation with a college student currently studying mathematics:
"Did learning Chinese chess help you learn math when you were a kid?"
——"Yes, it opened up my mathematical thinking."
"Then Go and chess should also be helpful, right?"
——"Yes."
"Then it should be useful to play with the number nine-square grid and smart grid when you were a child, right?"
——"Yes."
"You have learned some Mathematical Olympiads in elementary and middle school. Is it helpful to your current undergraduate mathematics study?"
——"Yes, it has expanded mathematical thinking."
"What about learning piano when you were a kid?"
——"It doesn't seem to be useful for learning mathematics."
"It must have cultivated your musical and aesthetic qualities, right?"
——"That's true."
